Making World Map using GIS
Ø Open Arc Map
Ø Click on Add Data
Ø Click on continent. Shp
Ø Click on add
Ø Right click on continent
Ø Click on label features
Ø Right click on continent
Ø Click on properties
Ø Click on labels
Ø Click on size and change label size
Ø Click on placement properties
Ø Click on remove duplicate labels
Ø Click ok
Ø Then click on apply and ok
Ø Right click on continent
Ø Click on properties
Ø Click on symbology
Ø Click on categories
Ø Click on continent
Ø Click on add all values
Ø Click on colors and change the colors according to your own choice
Ø After change the colors then click on apply and ok
Ø Click on layout view
Ø Click on file
Ø Click on page and print setup
Ø Click on page size and click on A4 size page
Ø Click on landscape
Ø Click ok and set the page
Ø Click on full extent
Ø Click on insert and click on title and write the title of map
Ø Double click on world map
Ø Click on change symbols
Ø Click on size and colors, and change the color and size
Ø Click ok and then click the option apply then click ok
Ø Click on insert and then click on North arrow click on insert then
click on legend
Ø Click on the set the number of columns in your legend = 2
Ø Click on next
Ø Click on size and can change the legend size
Ø Click on next to next
Ø Click on finish
Ø Click on insert and then click on scale bar
Ø Click on insert and then click on text and can give the prepared
name
Ø Double click on layers
Ø Click on new grid
Ø Choose what do you want to create the grid
Ø Click on graticule and divides map by meridians lines and parallels
Ø Click on next
Ø Click on labels only and click on next
Ø Click on finish
Ø Click on properties
Ø Click on the size and can change the grid size
Ø Click on right and left then click on apply and ok
Ø Click on file
Ø Click on Export map
Ø Give the file name and click on save
Ø Save the picture in the form of JPEG
